ORCID iD
Turath Journal requests contributors to provide their ORCID iD for inclusion in their articles, ensuring better authentication and researcher identification.
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a non-profit organization that assigns unique digital identifiers to researchers. These identifiers help editors, funding agencies, publishers, and institutions reliably distinguish individuals, just as ISSNs and DOIs identify journals and articles. This eliminates the risk of mistaken identity among researchers with similar names.
Researchers can register for an ORCID iD for free at orcid.org/register. The process takes less than a minute, and once registered, the ORCID iD can be used permanently. Additionally, the ORCID website (orcid.org) provides a personal research page where all scholarly activities can be stored.
